I would like to (where possible, some are in formats where I'm going to have to make do with other approaches) edit those pictures that support EXIF tags but are incorrectly or simply not date stamped with their appropriate dates and also their times. The problem is that not all of my pictures have said data. Because there are so many files I'm using a batch naming tool that can base decisions off of EXIF data. I'm now organizing the lot of them and arranging them with a standard file-naming scheme that includes date and time. Some I've taken with a Canon DSLR, some with a couple of old point-and-shooters, some with various phone cameras, and finally I've scanned some decades old family pictures. I have a collection of several thousand photos that I've taken over the years.
